i tell my daughter it's wrong to dress her daughters like that. Even their brother agrees with me. My grand son says, "Hey granny, I'm on you're side!" yesterday my daughter brought her daughters in with high heel thigh boots on made of leppered skin. And had their nails done in all colors. And bleached hair. Then has no money to buy food? What the H*** is that about?

O.K.
Hello first.
I think your grand daughter is having fun now, she thinks that cool, but she doesn't know any thing else, maybe you should talk to her and tell her about the bad things that would happen, because maybe she doesn't know .....
it's all I can tell you, and your grand daughter is so lucky that she has such a grand mother.....

Watch her for unusual behavior. If she acts like a normal kid then let it pass as a fashion blurp gone wrong. If she is still into barbie and baby dolls then maybe mom was playing dress up. But if the child chooses that then look at the school she goes to and see the trend. Maybe she wants to fit. It maybe that she doesn't know how to dress to the style. Help her out if you can. Take her on a girl day and go shopping. Help her see some of the different outfits.

But if she acts like she dresses then she will need lots of help. I know I have watched my sister raise her kids. Her 14 son is into drugs already. and her daughter had a baby at 16. I watched her raise her kids with the idea of being friends not mom. She got an eye full at Christmas this year, her son wasted on the couch, her daughter with bruises, the boyfriend (whose ten years older) drunk and fighting with everyone, and the grandchild that has never had a parent. I feel for her.

Good luck.

I think its so sad how fast children grow-up. I gave strict boundaries to my children. No make-up before 14, no hair dye before 15, no slutty clothes ever.
My oldest is in college, my second is in grade 12 and has saved $4000 of her own money to buy a horse, the youngest are 13 and 14 no problems yet. We are a close family and have dinner together at least 3 times a week.

All you can do is give advice to your daughter and love your granddaughter without judgement. Be there for her if something goes wrong.

Oh, how sad. I hope you're daughter comes to her senses before her daughter becomes pregnant or ends up with an STD. Dressing like that may be fun, but it also attracts the wrong kind of guys. There are a lot of perverts in this crazy world. I would do some research and try to find stories of girls who dressed too provocatively and got into trouble. The stories are out there, I've heard them before. If you can't get through to you're daughter, then maybe try talking to your granddaughter alone.

Some times it is poetic justis. Think back now- was you strict concerning what you let your daughter wear. As I get older, it is amazing how every generation seems to do the opposite based on their parents wants and NEEDS. I view it as a dig towards you and would just play along with the gag. I have a felling it will stop once she see's how it doesn't bother you. Better Known as reverse psychology.

Even though most people would agree with you about this...the fact is that since you're not the parent...it is none of your business. You can talk to your daughter about this till the cows come home and the only result will be you making your daughter mad. Sorry!

Well you should talk to your daughter because that is serious about her daughter and that is not a right age to be wearing that Mess there are mean people in this world they could follow your grandaughter home and try to hurt her badly watching her like that.Talk to your daughter explain to her that its not good to wear those clothes that it can get her in serious trouble. And +shes only 12 Wow your daughter is headed in a big disaster shes gonna have problems with her daughter wanting to dress like that soon she'll have boyfriends then not wanting to go to school and your daughter is headed straight forward with problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

whoa, if she's not saving any money for food then there's something wrong there. i would get all your family together, (the ones who agree with you anyway), and confront your daughter. from who you mentioned, it looks like you have quite a bit of people who agree with you and will help you. she has to listen if you sit her down and tell her you're very worried about her and your granddaughter. she's sending the people around her that she doesn't care that her daughter dresses like a skank.
