The boys are likely being abused (verbally, mentally or both) at home and need someone to lash out on. A girl is an easy target, especially when she has obvious insecurities. Best thing you can do is try to surround yourself with nice people and also get yourself a couple of bodyguards (older brothers or cousins) to call on when the bullying gets out of hand.

Eventually you grow up, and face the same thing in the workforce :) Men absolutely NEVER grow up....(some women don't either)

Luck!

Some guys do it because they're flirting and are trying to be playfully teasing; if it hurts your feelings, no doubt they need some more practice. Realistically, girls *do* like it when guys tease them and give them a hard time (probably the most attractive thing a guy can do for them), though it seems that most the guys you know go too far.

Because they can honey. I'd like to tell you to just ignore them, but you know as well as I do, that isn't going to change anything. They'll go on making their comments and you'll end up feeling hurt. But it doesn't have to be that way. You are allowing them to hurt you. Words are just words, but if you believe what they are actually saying, then it's up to you to either change or to make the decision that what they say has no bearing on your life.

I have a son who is the smallest kid in his class and for awhile, he was picked on alot. Being that he's younger, I was angry and wanted to protect him. I called the school, and the teasing just got worse, I called the parents of these children and again, the teasing increased. I even went as far as pulling these little snots aside after school like some bully and threatening them (not one of my prouder moments), but nothing worked. Then one day, I decided to let my son handle it. I simply told him that he needs to stand up for himself if he wants the teasing to stop. That day, he came home from school with a huge smile on his face. Curious, I asked what happened and he simply told me that when Brendon started teasing him, he said "did you think of that all by yourself, or did you get help?" When Brendon made a comment back, my son asked him if he was going to come up with something original because this was getting old. The other kids laughed and from that moment on, the teasing stopped. All it took was my son standing up for himself. You can do the same honey. We all can. And at some point in your life, you are going to have to...why not now? You deserve better than this and you know it.

Good life lesson - some people are jerks. It's the way they are - you have to feel more pity toward them than anything else. How else does someone grow up to be so mean unless they've had screwed up lives themselves? So just ignore them and understand they are screwed up. Don't try to 'fix' them - it took a life time for them to get screwed up - you ain't going to fix it. Just keep walking.

Because they are insecure themselves, and need to put the attention on something other than their own shortcomings. This is true of men and women. In order to be "happy" with themselves, they need to put others down. In all honesty, it's pretty sad that someone could feel that down on themselves to have to alienate others. Best thing to do about those people....know that they are troubled and insecure, feel pity for them, and then forget about it.

honestly.... cause the girls let them.

I am such a diva and I have broken so many hearts ( more than I care to count) hey! I am just making the scale even! muuuahaha!

Okay... seriously,

guys who feel the need to pick on women are vile and have low self esteem cause they wouldn't dare pik on other guys :)

Just insulate yourself... and don't let it bother you.
