So yes I suscribe to that kind of cruel/kind thing but only if it comes from respect and love

NO not even in the right measure.
Cruel is never justifiable.
You can tell the truth without being cruel and unkind .
Some people actually enjoy hurting other people's feelings...That is cruel. When someone starts out the conversation with I really hate to tell you this... Just beware of the twinkle in their eyes.

Yes and no, like the previous user stated- depends on the situation. Some people are thickheaded that it takes more effort on the other parties' part to get through to them. We live in a cruel world to begin with, but that doesn't necessarily mean we have to be subjected to it... Kill them with kindness instead- not easy to do when there are so many obstacles.

Depends on the situation! For example, you don't have to walk up to someone and tell them they are fat and need to lose weight, that would just be cruel. If however, someone you care about asked your opinion on whether they should lose weight, you should be honest with them. This may also come out "cruel", but in the long run it is being kind since you are doing what is best for their health.
