So yeah, I have no idea how to pump gas at all. For all the years could drive, I've lived in Japan where at every gas pump station, there is always an attendant.

There is always a first time for everybody. Join the club, we were all there at one time.

OK, determine which side of the car your gas cap is on.

Drive into the gas station with the gas cap side of car to the tanks.

Turn off engine. Unscrew or take off the gas cap on your car.

Credit or debit card? Insert it. Wait. It will tell you to pump gas. Choose regular unleaded or the one you want as you lift the gas nozzle from the gas pumps. Insert the nozzle into the gas tank neck. Squeeze and pump gas until it stops by itself. Place nozzle back on the gas pump. You will see a message asking you if you want a receipt. Press Yes.

Cash or check? Go to attendant. Normally you leave $10 or whatever, then go out and gas up to that limit. The instructions above apply.

Don't smoke while you pump the gas.

Good idea to ground yourself by touching your car --one touch sufficient -- to relieve any extra electrons that might cling to you. It is rare but static electricity has caused flash fires here and there. Gas, spark, got it?

Once you gas up a time or two you will be a pro. Bueno.

Haha okay
Well you go in to the attendent and pay for how much money you want and tell him which station you are in. Then go back to the station and open you gas tank (pulling the inside the car lever then unscrewng the nossle ) then click on which kind of gas you want... take the pump and put it into the gas chamber then hold down the button. When you get to the amount of money you put in the gas flow will stop, take the pump out and put it back... close your gas chamber thing, and your on your way!

or you could go to a full service gas station! lol

when you pull up to the tank, take a note of the number. go to the attendant and say "$20 regular on pump 11" or whatever. they will put $20 on the pump you gave them and you just pick up the pump handle under (or press the button that says) "regular" or whatever gas you ask for and when the display clears to zero, you pump the gas. ta-da!

be careful to pull the trigger only when you have the nozzle securely in the tank or you will get gas all over the place. after you let go, let it drain out a bit before lifting it out.

what you have to do, if its self service, is you have to pick up the pump. Then you unscrew your gas tank. Then you put the pump in and press it. Sometimes there is a moving stick type thing under it and you can make it so u dont have to pump. After that you take out the pummp when u have the amount of gas u want.
