I love christmas, but here is what happened:

Ever heard of Gift Ettiquite? Well my brother has no sense of it. When he opened his gifts, here are some of the things he said:
-*Complete silence, quickly grabs the other gifts.*
-I wanted something else...
-I told you I wanted money!
-What am I going to do with this???
-I told you I didn't want this?

By the time he was done opening the presents my grandparents were just walking through the door and sitting down. He had opened all of the gifts. THen he made a pile with all but two gifts which were three hundred dollars and a gift certificate to walmart and said, "take these back and give me the money. I don't want them." Then he went downstairs and left my parents crying. I cheered them up by giving my parents their gifts and my grandparents theirs. He didn't come down until the dinner and he just ate everything quickly, left what he didn't want to try on his plate and went back upstairs to play video games. I couldn't believe what he did, he is like a mini scrooge. Worst Christmas for me ever, but I did have a lot of fun with my family after HE went upstairs.

I was really expecting this Christmas to be insufferable, I was shocked to find that this was one of the best Christmases in a while. For the first time in a while I didn't stretch myself too thin. I even got gifts that I wanted for a change, lol :-)

It was interesting. My dad was yelling & cursing cuz the turkey wasn't ready on time, so dinner was 4 hrs late. Grandma fell asleep in the chair, and the rest of us were so hungry, we almost went to the Chinese buffet. Had to find a video store open, so we could get a movie to lighten the mood. The turkey ended up dry after nuking in the microwave to finish, and today my hubby has upset stomach. Can't wait til next year!

Barely, I have always hosted the Christmas dinner and everyone always comes to my house. This year I had to do it in shifts because some relatives don't get along with others. Now it is over and I don't have to worry about it until Easter.

Although we consider ourselves Christians, we don't celebrate Christmas with decorating, gift exchange, or even going to church. Since doing this, it has taken away the stress associated with celebrating Christmas like most people do.

Therefore I had a marvelous Christmas.

Well I don't really get together with my entire family so it easier for me to get through Christmas than most others..lol My boyfriend quit smoking on Saturday and he managed to get through it with out pulling out his hair or yelling at any of my family too!!!! LOL

Mine was very tame this year, and I got through it without any smart aleck relatives with their rude comments.
