We provide services to the elderly and those with mental and physical disabilities. There is another adult day health care in our small rural town and they seem to be growing faster than us. I need some fresh, new ideas. Thanks for any help you can give me.

The elderly tend to do things based on recommendations from peers and family members.

A big billboard or a TV ad is less effective with the elderly than social networking. I'd recommend that you invite the whole community to a barbeque or social of some kind (think open house with some really motivating reasons to come - a $100 door prize or a toaster oven, for instance) and then network like crazy.

All it takes is for a few folks to start the rumble going: "Wow. Nice place. I think Aunt Aggie will like it here."

Good luck.

The other companies success may be based on some type of majr investment of luxury offer for their clients. Most people who have to pay for care for their loved ones want the assurance that they will be well cared for and will enjoy their stay despite the life circumstance. List your companies amenities and add some things that may catch your eye if you had to pay for care such the entertainment space or perhaps fied trips or scheduled events to include family not just around the holidays. Frequent reports of health and behavior, family appreciates information and updates. Good Luck!

person day care centers grant a destroy (respite) to the caregiver at the same time as offering well-being centers, healing centers, and social events for persons with Alzheimer’s ailment and appropriate dementia, persistent illnesses, stressful techniques injuries, developmental disabilities, and different problems that improve their care desires. some person day care centers are dementia particular, offering centers completely to that inhabitants. different centers serve the wider inhabitants. One difference between classic person respite, the two group and in-residing house care, and person day care is that person day centers no longer in straightforward terms grant respite to kin caregivers yet in addition healing preserve cognitively and bodily impaired older adults. this is barely one area of the object, i think of you're able to locate something very insightful. wish this enables!

It would make a difference to me if there was someone licensed in health care employed there such as a nurse. Just for the things that come up. And I know from experience that alot of nurses are willing to work for very reasonable wages in exchange for decent hours and a job that isn't quite as demanding as the traditional nursing jobs!

It sounds like you have a wonderful service to offer, I agree with Stuart plus, advertise, advertise, advertise. With computers today it is very easy to create flyer's and brochures to advertise your business just remember that the work you do today doesn't always show up in results until a few days after. Good luck

Are you involved with the local Senior Center? Try to get involved through any means like sponsoring an activity or providing some type of equipment or anything that will get your name mentioned and keep it visible.

First you need to "know thy enemy". Before Howard Hughes started his aviation empire, he spent like 3 months working undercover for the competition, starting with a journeyman's salary and rising through the ranks quickly. You don't have to go to that extent, but some methodical "knowledge acquisition" is needed. Get an older, low-profile person that you know, and "hire" them to go and find out what your competition is doing. It might take several tries to get some results. Find prices, schedules, workforce, attitude, resources available. That will give you ideas on what to offer that they don't.

Get to know the social service and hospice workers in the area. A lot of reconditions come from them. Be patient, the baby boom from after war just started retiring. If you build it they will come.
