If I open a factory in a country and I have many branch on several location within the country. And each location using a different network/transport protocols (TCP/IP, SPX and SNA). How can I connect those locations to my factory using different protocols?
I should continue to use that three different protocols or move to one protocol? Why?

Depends on the applications you're using and what type of OS they reside on.

ultimately the internet connects using TCP/IP. if you're planning to use the different protocols then you'll need a gateway to perform the translations for you. If you can then move over to TCP/IP on all networks, it solves lots of costs/problems for you.

IMHO TCP/IP is the next best thing since popup toasters, you can work miracles with it if you understand it!

It is wiser to use the simplest TCP/IP protocol.

you would use a gateway to connect the networks that utilize different protocols.

using one protocol makes managing WAN's much, much easier on so many levels...
