i don't get my period till around the 20th of january, i finished my period on the 18th of december had sex on the 19 can i still take a test? can i be pregnant?

Some early response pregnancy tests can work 3-5 days before your next period is due. If your period just finished on the 18th though, it is unlikely sex on the following day would result in a pregnancy....it is usually 10-16 days after the first day of your period that ovulation + risk of pregnancy occurs

The soonest I've heard is maybe 3-5 days after your missed period, so that would put it around January 24th or so for you. I don't know how accurate a test before that would be. I hope the test comes out the way you want it to ~

I was able to get a positive pregnancy test 5 days before my period was due, but thats not common.
Its best to wait at least until the day before your period is due.
And PS...your dates dont add up...you got your period jan 20th and it ended dec 18th????

Yes, but wait until it has been at least 5 days after your period stopped. That way you won't waste the test.
