I was just wondering how many peopel actually allow their cat/dog to sleep on top of their bed with our without you being around. Or under the sheets? Thanks.

I let my older dog sleep on my bed/under the sheets (when she wants) all the time. My puppy is not allowed on my bed without me being around (she's not house trained, almost there though). I actually found that letting her sleep on my bed works better then crate training because when we crated her she still had accidents, now when we allow her to sleep w/ us she doesn't have accidents instead she olds it and I take her out...weird (although I know I'm making a big mistake because she's young and expects to sleep with me all the time).

Funny I fit my poodle-mix, my min pin, my boyfriend and I on this Full size bed, and my poodle mix stretches legnth wise while my min pin has to cuddle on me.

Happy New Year To Everyone too (thanks for the holiday wishes).

Yes I advocate adopting @ shelters or local organizations for homeless animals/foster animals. I adopted my min pin and my poodle mix was a stray that just showed up @ our doorstep. Petfinder.org is the best site!

Four of our five cats usually sleep on the bed. There are times two of them fight for the "right" to sleep cuddled up next to me - another sleeps right up against my back and one at the foot of the bed. Yes, it gets a bit crowded at times, but that's life with pets, they are a part of our family. And, a couple of them get VERY upset if we get up at night and disturb their sleep.
I fully advocate going to the local shelter, or even some of the PetSmart locations to find a new friend to share your home!

We let our staffy pup sleep on our bed til she was about 12 weeks - she started getting big after that and then we got a male companion for her - so no dogs allowed on the bed at all!

Our ragdoll cat curls up under the doona during the day (he's sooooooooooooo lazy)! He also gets out of his room at night and jumps on our bed and sleeps with us but we don't mind... it's annoying but so cute being woken up to a cat licking your nose/face/any exposed flesh! Except at 2 in the morning!

I have asthma though so too much fluff and hair on the doona is not a good thing (I have to change the sheets every week).

My dog sleeps on the bed at first, but usually ends up under the bed. With two people and an 85lb bloodhound a full size bed gets a little cramped. But she's a good snuggler so I let her up there. I don't let her get under the covers though I don't want her dog hair where I sleep. As far as when I'm not there, she usually is on the couch or the floor, but is allowed on the bed.

I wouldn't stop my cat from keeping my feet warm at night, even if I could. I have always let my dogs sleep on the bed too. All my other pets have not been allowed in the bed (rabbits, birds, fish).

I have two cats. They are brother and sister. Every night I go to bed, they are both sleeping on the bed near my feet. Every morning I wake up with the male curled up on my chest and the female on my head! Not sure how they pull that conversion off without me waking up. I'm a light sleeper!
Anyway I love my cats. I've recently made them a little web site, so cat lovers, feel free to visit my babies.

Both my dogs sleep with us. Usually 1 under the covers and 1 on top.. though sometimes both on top of the covers. When we are not home they are in their crate though, so no... they are only allowed while we are there.

My cats have always slept on the bed whether I'm there or not (I'm optional, lol). My one cat loves to dig under the sheets or the comforter and sleep.

We allow our three cats to sleep with us. Only one likes to sleep under the sheets.
