some things are very close....but of coarse alot of things are magnified for entertainment purposes...could you imagine what kind of show it would be if they did use real life situations....
look little Johnny has fever and his ear hurts...GO TO ER STAT...oh NO................he has an EAR ACHE!
not really that good....thank goodness for writers with imaginations

Somewhat. Medically, I've heard that they are correct in they injuries they treat and the treatments given, but in other aspects they are not accurate. I have heard from a family member who works in an ER that even during traumas, real ERs are more calm. Everyone who works there is a professional and they handle difficult situations far better than in the show.

Reasonably, I'm led to believe.
Well, medically, they have people on site to make sure they don't make mistakes.
However, it probably isn't an accurate representation of how emergency rooms really are - life can't be that exciting surely?!
ER Season 1 DVD set has a special feature about how accurate it is, but I've not watched it yet lol.

technical data etc is accurate as they ahve experts to guide them. The actual anoput of rushing around, and the huge numbers of serious emergencies in each programme is just TV licence, I'm sure thay all do happen, but may well be over a week rather than a shift. I've been in UK Emergency depts, and they just aren't as busy as even casualty would make out. There is a lot or very minor emergencies, probably 90% of all attending have minor injuries such as cuts and scrapes, often due to an excesss of drink.

Well last year Dr Luka Kovac was bandaging this guys arm and he was doing wrong he had a K-Soft Bandage and was wrapping it to loose and he stared in the middle of the wrist and you always start from the hand or from where you would finishes up the arm with the banged not in the middle

but other than that i think the show is pretty realistic

but i only watch it for the hot talent of Goran Visnjic (Dr Luka Kovac) & Shane West (Dr Ray Barnett) with out them 2 the show would be nothing!

All shows like ER, CSI and so forth are pretty accurate the shows like to give you as much knowledge as possible on what these people do in real life.

I assume its reasonably accurate, I believe it was written by Michael Crighton originally, who I believe has a medical degree.

No show is 100% accurate. It's called suspension of disbelief.

It is a TV show it is reality to an extent and then they make it all dramatic. There really aren't people running around crazy and stuff. But for a TV show yes pretty acurate.
