I was lookin back at the 2006 and some of the big things in wrestling was the return of DX, ECW coming back, and of course, Kurt Angle going to TNA but what else happened?

everything from the first answer, plus these-
-Jamal from "3 Minute Warning" came back as "Umaga"
-The Hardy Boyz reunited
-Batista, Mark Henry, Beth Phonix, Rey Mysterio, Chris Benoit, and Joey Mercury suffered injuries that put them on free agency for months(Joey Mercury not expected to return till Feb. or Mar.)
-TNA lost Jeff Hardy, but got Kurt Angle and Tomko
-Angle taps for the first time ever(to a rear naked choke)
-Samoa Joe loses for his first time
-RVD and Randy Orton both(unrelated incidents) were busted smoking blunts and got suspended(RVD for 30 days, Orton for 60)
-Sabu was busted but not suspended when he was caught with some pills
-Kane went to SD/Bros of Destruction re-united
-John Cena sets Pro-wrestling records by giving Fireman Carries(FUs) to both Big Show(twice), and Vicera(Once)
-Booker T becomes King of the Ring, World Heavyweight Champion, and the Champion of Champions
-Bobby Lashley lifts Big Show three times in one match(last call, Oklahoma Slam, Running Powerslam)
-Rey Mysterio becomes the lightest World Heavyweight Champion in WWE history
-JBL goes from wrestling to Announcing
-Paul Heyman gets re-hired, and re-fired
-Lita, Trish Stratus, and Big Show retire
-GoldDust and Psycosis got fired

the elimination chamber in january, edge cashing in the money in the bank and winning the wwe title, kurt angle winning the world heavyweight title, rey mysterio winning the royal rumble, rey mysterio winning at wrestlemania, john cena winning at wrestlemania, the may 19th storyline, the spirit squad winning the world tag team championship, the return of dx, the king of the ring tournament, the ecw vs wwe storyline, rvd beating cena for the title, edge winning a triple threat to win the title, king booker beating rey mysterio, the fued with rey mysterio and the guerreros, the return of jeff hardy, the tlc match with john cena and edge, the hell in a cell with dx and the mcmahons and bigshow, batista winning back the title he never lost, the inferno and last ride match, and those were the big things of this year.

Chris Benoit came back after injury
Batista surrendered his World Championship beginng of the year and just winning it back.
