Here is a thought - why don't we scrap religion altogether, and embrace our humanity? Why not do good because we choose to, because it makes our world bright, and not because some mythical father-figure is threatening us with an eternal fiery spanking? Being conscientious and decent and kind loses its meaning under threat of punishment. I long for the day that becomes clear to both religious groups and governments (if there's a difference).

Jews would not endorse your point of view. They frown upon conversions. From my own point of view everyone should chose the religion they prefer, or no religion at all. Many people believe in God without a formal religion. Many of them are extremely fine people. Many religious people are not so fine.

No, that would make the world very boring.
Besides, all of those people in the world that you dont like because of their religion, will now have that in common with you and you will have to come up with some legitimate reason to not like them.

I don't see how anyone would benefit in believing in something that someone would tell me to believe. Life would not be better because what works for one person does not necessarily work for another.

I did seriously consider it at one time, but I couldn't seem to get My foot through the door toward the conversion process!

No. People should be allowed to believe what they wish.
Remember, God gave us free will. Who are you to try and override that gift?

Errr.. No.
Everyone has a right to think what they want to think. (:
One religion isn't better than any of the others.. Despite what the media tries to tell you. It is all faith-related.

no, why would you think that? everyone should believe what they want, not up to anyone to decide, although i know most religions think you should believe what they believe, then talk about free will = )
