Well back in the old days the christians took on many pagen traditions and mixed them with their own to help Celebrate christian observances so the pagans would feel a little more comfortable celebrating with them. I am not here to judge whether that is right or wrong just telling you how it happend. I have not seen Jesus wearing a santa hat no but I have seen a statue of santa clause bowing down to the manger with baby Jesus

There's two good articles on this very topic:
1) At This Day In History, they talk about the Roman Emperor Constantine I converting o Christianity and, in an effort to make the transition of his subjects seamless, they converted the Winter Solstice festivals to Jesus's birthday celebration.
2) In About.com's Alternative religion page, they talk about the Saturnalia festivals being taken over by Christianity.
Both of these are good reads.

Red is the festive season and the Chrismas hat wasn't even invented/ created when jesus was around. And it was cold in winter so that's why Santa was around, all in red and he had a long beard, going around the world giving presents to the kids he knew and soon, it became a myth...

Good question. And i agree with what you are saying whole heartily. Its all commerical and Christmas now days have nothing to do with the real true meaning of the season.
