Depends if the brother adopts the kids.
If he adopts, he then becomes "dad".
In either case the kids are then "Half Brother/Sister" AND cousins. That is really an interesting combo.
In any case he'll be the "original" kids' Uncle/Dad which is a common thing that happens in Eastern Oregon as well as a few other states with "close families"
What a totally messed up situation.

They are both brothers and cousins. I have also seen, historically speaking, where the new couple changed the the last name of the entire brood to something similar to the original family name and moved to another town so that there would be less gossip. This kind of thing is a lot more common than you would think in previous centuries. Early and tragic death from war and industrial accidents created a lot of very young widows.

WELL I THINK THE KIDS WOULD BE HALF COUSIN/BROTHERS AND COUSIN/SISTERS. THE ONLY THING THAT MAKES IT EVEN MORE CONFUSING IS THAT THE KIDS FROM THE DIVORCE ARE GOING 2 BE VERY CONFUSED BECAUSE THERE UNCLE NOW BECOMES THERE STEP-DAD.

They are half bother/sisters then.
Simply because thier Mom was married and had kids by either man, and the siblings are "half siblings"... Not cousins, but half brother/sisters.
I wish you well..

The kids are half-brothers and half sisters to one another (depending on which father was involved) and they are also cousins.
