If it is not making him money, then he does not care. Besides the people that are there that are not poor are fairing well thanks to him. I wonder how much they had to pay him.

Well in all honesty I dont see how the executive branch of the federal government is responsible for a state level crisis. Given NO was bad after Katrina. But up until the catastrophe the majority of police, and emergency staff abandoned the city. The Local and state government there has a long history of corruption which trickled down to the people of New Orleans. There was Democratic Mayor Ray Nagin who has been apathetic at best to the people of New Orleans and less than innovative in the way of action. Then you have Democratic Louisiana Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco (Kathleen the White Baby in french btw) who had the power to allocate rescue workers from all over the state of louisiana and throughout the south but did nothing. Dont tell me you dont think the neighboring states wouldnt have helped out with aid workers had they only been asked.

How did President Bush ignore New Orleans after Katrina when he (though his agencies) dolled out BILLIONS of dollars and millions of manhours?
Since the majority of Katrina refugees were welfare bums who have been living on the backs of taxpayers for generations (and will continue to do so), the taxpayers should not have spent ONE DIME on the riffraft!
Your question is typical of someone who has never worked an honest day in their life! What would you have the overburdened taxpayers do, give each katrina bum 40 acres and a mule!! All they would do is turn around and sell it for a baggies of crack!
Look at what the katrina debit cards were used for!!!!
Or a BMW and a paid for house?
Get real!
I donated a truckload of NEW clothing to the Katrina bums. They would not even help unload it. They just sat there smoking and joking while I did all the work.
That was the last time I will help those who are so shiftless that they will not help themselves.
I've been to New Orleans many many times, in my opinion the best thing for that cesspool is to let the Mississippi River wash it out to the Gulf and let it return to the "wetlands" (ie swamp) that it is!
Am I too harsh? Name one good (that improved humanity) thing that has come out of New Orleans!

Haven't you heard Bush hates all black people.
First off I think this statement is ridiculous. You shouldn't be asking why Bush is ignoring New Orleans but why our government as a whole is taking so long to get things done.
It is democrates and republicans alike that are taking so long to get all of this relief money to the people in the area that need it.
I think to pin this whole thing on Bush is crazy. I bet you think that the movie stars that make an apearence in New Orleans infront of lots of camaras are doing a lot to help people there.

Not to burst your bubble, but he didn't ignore New Orleans.
I lived in Pensacola, FL from 2003-2006 and then in Biloxi, MS for about 6 months after that. There were several times that President Bush flew into the bases there, and then went to New Orleans.
The problem is that people listen to the media and think that they know everything and report everything. They don't, and many times they get it wrong.

He didn't. He had to follow the law and wait for the inept governor to turn power over to him. It took three days for that bunch of crooked politicians in that state to do so. Incompetence at its best. If you recall, nothing got rolling Until the President did get involved. Floria had gone through many more hurricanes without a hitch. There was no screaming out of Mississippi or Alabama which took a direct hit, so logically you need to look at where the problem lied. Just another opportunity for the left to steal from the US government, and nobody does it as well as those crooks from Louisiana.

He didn't ignore it. Living in a bowl on the coast with a levy close by has its risk. If the national weather service alerts to leave because of a severe weather situation, and you stay instead, then who really is to blame?

Bush didn't. The democratic leadership of Louisiana that failed it's own people. The people had plenty of time to evacuate and the state had the means to get the people out but they failed, not the president.

Crime and three hundred thousand people on welfare .
He wanted to spread out the crime around the south so a strong conservative could run on crime alone and win . We have to clean up the streets in these cities . This employs cops judges and conservative politicians along with the people who build jails and prisons.
Bush wants to sign more death warrants .

bush is only a puppet, if he votes for something positive to happen in neworleans, the government behind him will either veto the bill or approve it, bush does not have the last say unless he persists to say that's finial, he does,nt care about the people there and if he did he would,nt consider them as refugees, a refugee is a person that has no country, those people have lived there all their lives, so how in the world could he fix his mouth to call them refugees, the reason he did that us because he does,nt care, not only by the majority of them being black, but being of a non Caucasian and mixed breeds, he has a prejudice for non white Americans, to make a long story he just don,t or did,nt care and still don,t.
