Withdrawn person achieves independence with regard to internal or psychological needs by becoming aloof from others, no longer seeking them out to satisfy emotional needs. The process involves blunting, or minimizing, of emotional needs. By renouncing these needs, the withdrawn person guards against being hurt by other people.

It is not aloofness. They just are not much of a conversationalist. Every human being has a redeeming quality. You got to dig them out in some cases.

You should create how to 'work' with the plane of that person's mind. It is not always how YOU expect.

It is like walking a mile in their shoes.

For the same reason that others are noisy, or shy, or nosy, or crude. Everybody's different. Everybody has different moods. Aloofness can sometimes be mistaken for snobbishness, when maybe it just comes from shyness.

There can be many reasons. Maybe they're arrogant. Maybe they're insecure. Maybe they're preoccupied. Maybe they're depressed. Maybe they're really nice people who would really like to be close to someone but they have no idea how to go about forming and maintaining a relationship. Maybe they're uncomfortable in crowds. Maybe they've been rejected so many times they are afraid to try again.

they feel they are better than everyone else so they ignore or speak in an unfriendly way.
