I am absolutely delighted that it is over, I even took my decorations down today. They were back in the loft by 10.30 am. I agree with James M and I will join his anti-Christmas campaign should he start one. I actually have no objection to Christmas itself but all the mass hysteria and commercialism which starts in August just sickens me. I refuse to have anything to do with it. It doesn't help that my birthday is 6 days before Christmas and, this year, hardly anybody remembered it. It was my 60th too!!! As much a non-event as Christmas turned out to be.
I think I'll go away for Christmas next year. Is there anywhere which ignores it completely?

For me it is just a beginning of a long marathon. I am glad first date is over (25th of December). I am orthodox christian so i do celebrate Christmas 2 weeks later (7th January). And this one I do like more: even if I do shopping it is sale time already and i don't look at things thinking "Oh, this is nice but I am afraid that in just few days time it will be half price> " and this is not about presents . It is bigger than any Christmas shopping. Certainly I do celebrate a New Year. And Old New Year on 14Th January.. And Chinese New year with purse and a coin inside for prosperous 2007 Year of PIG.

Actually, it's not over. That song isn't called 'The Twelve Days of Christmas' for nothing; it all leads up to Epiphany, which comemmorates the arrival of the Wise Men.
I'm glad that the overly-commercialized part of Christmas is over. Now it's time to relax and enjoy the rest of the season.

I'm not glad it is over. Though I would like to see the spirit of Christmas, (Yeah without the gifts) go on throughout the year. I hear so many people talking about it, but then zooom another Christmas is here. Hope you had a Merry Christmas.

Definitely glad it is nearly all over. The whole message of Christmas is lost in the 'spirtual world' of the out of town Ikea etc. Someone should start an anti commercial Christmas movement.

Thumb up from me, Babe. I am both glad and sad, but importantly, I still have a few social engagements and "oh baby" I am still enjoying the afterglow of it all.

I'm sorry it will be repeated. Everyday is as important as the last and the next. Only when people can accept everyday is a real day can humanity can move on. Happy New Year
