Outside of culture & religious reasons, why does it seem most folks dislike (or just simply choose not to eat) pork?

Personal experience from company pot-lucks, pork seems to be passed over more often than other types of meats.

I've never noticed this in my area. Perhaps it's cultural in your region?

I love pork. It's cheap, yummy, and absorbs flavors well.

I am not religious or anything but the only meat i avoid is pork.
pork is a filthy meat that is infested with parasites.

I saw a program on the bbc about butchers and they poured a cheap cola over the pork and left it for an hour, apparently this caused tiny worms to wriggle out the port before they sold it.

pigs are dirty and eat their own excrement, pork is also a very dangerous meat to eat if it is undercooked.

Pork does tastes good but it is one of the fattiest, calorie and chlestrol ridden foods you can eat. That's why other than for cultural and religious reason, people will eliminate pork from the diet.

Probably due to the dirty living habits of the pigs -- most people think that even the pork could be infested with insects and pests.
