I have an obsession with daydreaming. Whenever I am in class, I daydream a lot. I become a part of my daydream and I forget everything around me and I literally enter another world in which I move and talk to other people who answer me intellectually like everyone else. Is this normal?

Is John Nash Normal? (from the Beautiful mind, the genius in Princeton University)

He is day dreaming a lot too. You may be into twilight zone as many people would say. Some say you are nuts and some say nuts can be genius. However, day dreaming a lot is not a good thing even though you are like John Nash

Yes. ..... It is because of boring class.

Still you need to concentrate in class (try little harder) and try to pass the class with acceptable grades.
