Sure it´s a good movie but I wouldn´t go as far as to call it one of the best movies of all time.

Absolutely, it's over-rated! It's sick and twisted and far from being "One of the Greatest" as I've heard it called before. it definitely falls into the 'cult films' category though, so there will be some that swear it's a masterpiece.

Very much so, yes. It's a cult classic, but I have never heard it labeled as any kind of 'best movie.'
Like Rocky Horror. Not a 'best of', but a cult classic.

While somewhat crude, it is an amazing exploration of of the human condition and the concept of free will. Nothing beats being murdered with a huge concrete phallus... talk about beating someone over the head with symbolism.

Perhaps best cult film of all time, on second thought no....that would be Rocky Horror Picture Show!!!!!

I don't think it's overrated, because there is actually a social lesson being taught, and the fact that it is somewhat of a warning, being that it was made in the 70's, kind of like a "This is what could happen" kind of thing.

well, i think they maybe meant "one of the best movies of all time" In its genre. anyways, i think it was a very well done movie.

you have to realize when it came out and that it was a real shocker and innovator at that time. you have to consider it
in historical context to come to that conclusion.
