Are the majority of American people fully aware that, during the recent killing of a top Taliband leader, that it was BRITISH intelligence that led US aircraft operation to be mounted?

Did we get a mention in any of the yahoo Q&A's or in the yahoo stateside political and military chat rooms? I think not !..

.. mind you, IF I am wrong, I'm sure you'll let me know !

If so many American people do not care, why did thier Leader - George W Bush ask UK troops for military help instead of just england for thier help?

I think that crass attitutde would soon change if Tony Blair made the same decision as George Bush did in 2003 and withdraw our troops by 77% today.

With regards to US helping UK out in WW2, THEY only joined in when it suited America to join in - which was after Pearl Harbour was bombed. !!!

It doesn't matter really. There's so much cooperation, that British intelligence might be supplied by another country.

This is not a US war, and/or UK war. Iraq is just a front, or a battle. All countries should be in it as much as they are influenced. Unfortunately they are as much in it as they think are/will be influenced, and there might be a really big penalty for that miscalculation.

All countries act only when it's in their interest. That's what always happens.

US helped out in Kosovo, because a stable Eastern Europe is in US's interest. They didn't help out in Rwanda because an unstable Africa does create problems, the problems are not as great.

It's sad, but all countries need to act and are acting based on their interest.

And your element is............? You sound like Ole commonplace 1st viscount montgomery of alamein and his ongoing squabble with George Patton approximately who gets credit for what. Kudos to British intelligence for their enter and suggestions in removing the islamic trash in Afghanistan. Many human beings understand the effectiveness of British intelligence. We observed that is result throughout WWII, and the american intelligence community found out very lots from the Brits. We in the U. S. don' below estimate British intelligence and we do delight on your loyalty and friendship. We too see the fierce opposition among communities, regardless of if or no longer that is armed forces, intelligence, drugs, technology, and the fewer than handedness that performs out to be quantity one. It somewhat discredits the gamers once you spot cheating occurring, at those stages, just to have the skill to declare the brass ring.

I did not know that, but its interesting!
Thanks for the help England! I don't support the war(s) but the Taliban is one group that I really do think needs obliterated, and America does need all the support it can get! Militarily, I'm sure we could handle it, but political & economic ties are where we need the help!

It's become clear that Bush and Blair are connected at the hip, as far as Iraq goes, so this comes as no surprise......

You may not be wrong. I will be the first to thank you and your government. The British have been very instrumental in the effort to run down terrorists. I do believe there part is played down too much. \
Thanks from America.
