Poor returns on any Barclays products, insufficient explaination as to why their services are so dire.

Interest rates on current a/c's are non competitive. Perhaps they could offer considerably more than 0.1%, thus encouraging more customers.

I left Barclays after 18 years of business and personal banking, they are without doubt the worst of all the high street banks, and a total shower of shite.

Key issues as for any another bank are that lots of people are not able to pay back what they got out from bank. I do like Barclay's (compare to natWest - this one is horrible disaster for me). I bank with Barclay's in personal and business accounts so my answer will be not very sensible (i am a customer ). Some technical points like cheque books - i had to wait for about 3 weeks for my to arrive. it was annoying. I don't relay on mortgage from Barclay's. i believe that is expensive.I don't take insurances policies cos I don't believe in them. At present Barclay's is the best bank around (for me at least)

I worked for Barclay's for several years and always found that as well as priorities being to make as much profit as possible through sales of their products, they also wanted customer service to be paramount in all staff training.Banks are all about sales now-to make as much money as possible,Barclay's are no different .I work for another bank now but still bank with Barclay's because they have a much more personalised approach than the one i now work for
