I don't get it... I don't see how girls (and even some straight guys) are attracted to him...
Since we're on this page... let's throw in Alan Rickman also...
Does this have to do with how an individual finds a certain amount attractive and the other amount unattractive?

It's a girl thing!
As for the guys, ahh... they don't find him attractive the same way the opposite gender do. Just like I think Halle Berry is really pretty.
It's really just personal taste.

Everyone's beautiful in their own way, following that I don't know who the heebie jeebies is Alan Rickman. Johnny Depp is attractive because he's a gentleman, and he's really thoughtful. He donates so much time and money to the less fortunate and he spends time with his family whenever he can. He's an amazing actor in Pirates 1 and 2, and all his other movies have been fantastic as well. Being all of these wonderful things, a lot of women and straight guys like him, I must comment that you've been really mean when you mentioned straight guys, and Johnny Depp is so wonderful that I prefer him over, perhaps you, any day!

hi and that i'm with you approximately Johnny Depp. He has been voted the sexiest guy alive a pair of circumstances. What does that say? i think of it says he's warm warm warm! Plus, you're able to get a glance at him whilst he became became on "21 leap highway"-yowza-what a hunk! anybody is entitled to their own opinion, yet i do no longer like it whilst somebody likes a definite individual or human beings and that they dis you once you disagree with them?!?!? this is basically too juvenile. I think it is more of his personality, his looks are not too bad, but he is hot! Not everyone hot has to have physical beauty. If you show interest in other people and listen, many "physically unattractive" people become beautiful....
Revised after finding pic of Alan Rickman, now I recognize him and yes he is hot in a bad boy kind of way. I am not a Harry Potter fan (yet) but I have seen him.

I reckon its because he appears as if he isn't concerned about his looks in the first place, he has that "alternative" look about him, kinda like the opposite to a pretty boy.

i admire him because he isn't like EVERY other actor out there. he's eccentric and has an artistic soul. he doesn't care about material garbage like the rest of Hollywood. he chooses roles that he thinks present a challenge for him. he does his thing and he's his own man.
plus he's got well-defined bone structure.
