That is where my family is from and I'm going this coming summer with some cousins and I need to know where the hot spots are...... A little help PLEASE!!!! Thanks!!

I want info on the clubs Ive been there like twice b4 but I was young so I'm ready to go all out you know!!!!

well honey im from DR i can tell you there are lots of places to visit here. you will need more than one visit to cover at least 20% of them.
now when you say hot spots, do you want hotels, resorts, beaches, restaurants, cities? what?
I'll tell you about the main city: Santo Domingo: lots of restaurants, clubs, shoppings, but now, how much do you want to spend?
for shopping you can visit: Acropolis center, megacentro, Diamond Mall. in the afternoon you can visit EL conde St. to get some icecream and walk around. only good for art shopping and souvenirs.
restaurants: for tipical food you visit Adrian tropical, El conuco, if you want fancy visit: el vesuvio, also you can visit Peperoni rest.
also you'll find a lot of pizza places and other fast food all over the city. Try Pizzarellis
Clubs: visit la zona colonial, you will find a lot of clubs there, and also more restaurants.
hot spots over the country:
Bavaro and Punta Cana: beach destination with lots of great resorts to stay at. the beach is lovely and the hotels are all inclusive.
Samana: Far from the city, but the beach there has no comparisson
Puerto Plata: Nice hotels and famous for its malecon
Boca Chica: its a nice beach to eat fried fish and Long Plays (ask for those)
Sosua y Cabarete: this is were the wild life is, people say what happens in cabarete stays in cabarete, there is a lot of electronic music and wild parties there.

I went there twice and had great time my ex husband has a house in San Francisco de Macoris it was wonderful we went to the ficas owned by his family. La Playa de los Gemelos was beautiful! I don't know where you are heading but I can tell you anywhere you go it's going to be fun. Las discotecas are open til past dawn! Girl, it's sad you haven't been there before consideing you come from there!!! Have fun I hoped I helped! You really should check La Playa de los Gemelos if you're around that part! Have fun!!!

well it all depends.. what part of DR are u going to visit. although its a small country there are a LOT of places to visit. how old are u? and how long are u going to stay. i have been to Dominican republic so many times. my favorite spot is punta cana. the beaces in puerto plata are really fun. there are also alot of night clubs in both puerto plata and DR. i also went to a small city called barahona.. they have some nice bars right next to the beach :)
