You might wait until after seeing Wednesday Night's ABC program, Primetime Live. This is one of the subjects they'll be covering on how people react to certain situations.
In considering your answer, also consider this. Look at any study on domestic violence against women, but instead of reading the summary, look at the data being summarized. They never mention in the summaries that at least 39% of Domestic Violence victims are men. Also, a woman involved in a relationship with another woman is five times more likely to be battered than situations involving two men.
Finally, according to the U.S. Justice Dept. study, "Murder In Families", mothers who batter men, accounted for 55% of fatal child abused committed by anyone. A father accounts for 8%, stepmothers/girlfriends for 9%, and stepfathers/boyfriends for 10%. The figures remain the same when custody arrangements are taken into account. So, what would you do if you saw a man being battered by a woman?

For those who think the man must be a weakling to be battered by a woman, remember, under the Federal Violence Against Women Act, a man defending himself from a violent woman is the abuser and should be arrested. In a Michigan case, where a man who simply grabbed the arms of his child's mother to stop her from scratching him, was not allowed to have custody or visitation rights. The woman's friends are the ones who testified to it. Only a man who does not defend himself is a victim.
