Then wouldn't all those dump red necks be immigrating to the north and mexico because they would be dirt poor? And I'm assuming Bush would be dictator of their dirty poor NASCAR state

Don't let the southerners fool you, they would have LOVED to win.
They are actually sad that they don't still have slaves. But they try to make up for it by paying sht wages and union busting.

Southerners act like they have "manners" but it's just a facade.

I beleive if the south won, there woul be less taxation and states rights.... Did you take the real US History class or the shortened one for democrats... the civil war wasn't just about slavery you know.. it was about the government infringing on our rights.......

And no, the south would not migrate north because the north is where all the liberals are. And if they were allowed to run amok, then there would be no money in the country because they would give it away to all the "unfortunate" and no one would work because they would expect everyone else to take care of them, or it would be an entire socialist state where doctors made the same amount of money as the people who run register at the 7 -11 except the politicians and the entire country would be in poverty... (Sound kind of like the united soviet socialist repubulic.... ) the the north would actually be returning to the south...

Not everyone in the north is an ignorant liberal, just a vast majority...

First off. I drive a truck otr, and let me tell you that there are more mullets, rednecks and nascar fans in PA than anywhere in the country. Also the civil war was not about slavery, it was about independent governorship of the southern states. If the south had won, we would not have to put up with hip-hop,spinners,and yes there would be no fried chicken(its a black thing). We can thank all Yankees for this and for Capitalism, Union, the middle finger and all other forms of debauchery. Honestly i wish Hitler would not have failed....So enjoy your bagel and remember....(It's Heritage not Hate).

even if the south won, slavery would still have been replaced by newer technologies. and i think that we would be a little more patriotic. for example outsourcing of jobs would have been more minimal because americans would buy products that were produced by americans. look at new york, that place is filled with international wannabes. at least the south stood by the american flag. i think that racism wouldnt really be a big issue like it is in the North, because people would have gotten over it. this is just my opinion. thank you

In answer to leogirl, the north may not be perfect, but there's not a catchphrase of, "You might be a Northerner", is there? The south is known for dumb rednecks, AND for NASCAR lovers. Further,in answer to janeyfree, unions SHOULD be busted; every right we have is covered by the law. We can't just make up something we want and call it a right. Bust the unions now.

Actually, we still have slavery and it has nothing to do with the South. Slaves had their most basic needs barely met and were treated in a shameful manner. The floggings and rape may have stopped (thankfully) but Big Business still keeps workers in servitude. In fact, Big Business is rapidly getting rid of the American worker. Scary, isn't it?

You assume too much.
Don't like NASCAR?
Not that big of a Nascar fan myself but see nothing wrong with it. it's a sport like any other.

maybe- but don't you ever think that if the south won there would still be slavery. Maybe there would still be slavery- we don't know b/c we abolished it.
