The Rams would have to beat the Vikings this weekend and then the Falcons, Giants, Packers and the Panthers all have to lose as well. The Rams are the last to get in. They don't hold a tiebreaker over any of the other teams still in playoff contention.

St. Louis need to win. Doi. If the Giants, Panthers, and Falcons lose/tie and St. Louis wins, the Rams are going to the playoffs.

Now, if the Rams tie, then the Giants, Panthers, Falcons, AND PACKERS need to lose.

However, the Giants are playing Washington and will probably win that game. Carolina will lose to New Orleans, the Packers will lose to Chicago, and the Falcons will lose to Philly.

The Rams are the 4th seed out of 5 in regards to the 7-8 teams vying for the last wildcard spot. So if the Giants win on Sat evening you are out. If the Panthers win on Sunday afternoon you are out. If you win Sunday afternoon then you will have to go through the agony of watching the Packers play the Bears in the Sunday night game on NBC. If the Packers lose you will be in though. You can't win the NFC West as Seattle owns the head to head tiebreaker. Of course if you lose to Viking then it is curtains for you anyway.

There are five 7-8 teams in the NFC. The Rams are fourth of the five in line for the playoffs. It would have to be a miracle of Biblical proportions for them to make it. If you're a fan, it might be best to hope they draft well and sign good free agents in the off season. They need serious help on the defense.

The Rams need to win and have every other 7-8 team lose. If they tie anyone, they lose the tiebreaker.
