Throw your stones, I don't care if they're uncool. I think my hearing is noticably degenerating and I was wondering if anyone can tell me where to get affordable, discreet earplugs?

Try your local music shops. As manager of a band, their safety is my priority so I have got them each a pair that are unoticable in the ears and lower the sound to their ears. I got them from my local music shop.
Most of them have em, and they are good value.

I got a great pair from Target about 6 month ago now I see them all the time at local drug stores.

What kind of fun is it to spend £50 on a night out to go and get your ears blasted by loud music, with a load of other smiling plastic clones pretending their having a good time ?

you can get clear silicone ones from rite aid and walgreens that you can make different sizes and they are hardly noticeable. They're very malleable and comfy for long term use.
