I think that if UK would have done as promised and give full sovereignty to the Palestinians, the Middle East would have been more peaceful now...
Israel was created without caring that on that land Arabs were living for centuries...As I remember one of the reason the British gave Palestine to Jews was that anyway the Arabs have enough lands,so a country less wouldn't be such a big loss for them...
Creating Israel was not the right solution for the Jews, nor for the Palestinians...it only caused many more problems...
It was wrong to created Israel there,as it would be wrong to create it in any other place...
The Palestinians are the victims there...They are killed on a daily basis, they had to leave their homes and go live in UN's refugees camps outside Palestine...They lost everything...not Israel is the victim there...

I'm sorry that you hate Zionism - which is the national liberation movement of the Jewish people.
"Palestine" was never a nation.
Israel is the historic homeland of the Jews. After being conquered in the ancient past, the Jews were dispersed from their homeland. However, some Jews continued living in Israel. After the horror of the Holocaust, Israel was created. However, the land was to be partitioned between the Arabs and the Jews. The Arabs refused this compromise and attacked the Jews.
So, it's not Israel in Palestine. It could be Israel and Palestine if the Arabs could compromise and accept the existence of Israel.

I have this argument over and over with a family member.
He's pro Palestine and I'm pro Israel. But I try to be as objective as possible.
The original situation I don't understand fully. I think that Israel wasn't a very friendly place to live (swamps, and not quite fertile land) and Jews started moving in. There were some Arabs living in there(call them Palestinians, but they were plain Arabs) Jews moved in and they had issues with everybody including the British who were in charge of the territories(after the fall of the Ottoman empire).
The problem is that I have no more info about the origins of Israel. Because that's what matters. Now the situation is kept alive on both sides by brainwashing and so on.
What I know about the Arabs in Palestine is that they are kept artificially poor by the leaders, to have people willing to die, since they have nothing to loose. Children are indoctrinated at an early age, and made to hate Jews, even though they never met any.
I'm sure Jews do not want to take over the middle east, they just want to be left alone.
Right now if Jews would be left alone they would live happy, and wouldn't bother anybody,
I don't think that would happen in Palestine. Arabs want Jews out of the Middle East.
The everyday people, on both sides would live happily if they wouldn't be brainwashed, and kept artificially poor.
I believe there is a tendency in the Arab world to take over the world, and make all the world Muslim. I know this is not the view of the majority, but it is the view of a loud, relatively huge minority,
Responding to Tinkerbell05: Refugee camps are kept the way they are, to create angry, and desperate people. Palestinian governments received more than enough aid to make those people live like kings. The Palestinian leaders take the money and the refugees do not get a dime.
Look at the problem this way: A small piece of land, let's say in Iran, where nobody lives, and the land is useless. Would Iran or other Muslims allow Jews to gather there, form a community, without creating a nation there? I doubt it.

First, it is not good to hate anything....secondly, Israel is a state which was created after WWII by what became the UN...France, US, Britain, Canada and Russia. For the most part, the Palestinians did not have any real borders, so "the west" (in their infinite wisdom) decided that this should be done.
it has caused nothing but problems ever since.
The Middle East is a hotbed of conflict and unfortunately seems to have more than its share of fanatics on all sides...what is it..the temperature over there that causes all those hot heads?...sheesh..
All of that being said, Israel has no more right to be in Palestine than Palestine has any right to shoot at the Israelis or invade them.
Quit acting like spoiled brats and learn to get along, why don't you???...
If you can't...then the Western World should pull the heck OUT of there and let you fight it out once and for all...winner take all
get it OVER with....but the problem we have (the whole world) is that the US will never keep its nose out of the oil patch and will always back Israel and will always be the bully of the schoolyard...so we're hooped anyhow..
Good LUCK !!

The fact is, the Muslim Arabs have done nothing to make the world a better place to live. They only bring violence and barbaric lifestyles. They must be stopped or they will disrupt the normal life everywhere they go.
The Israelis, on the other hand, God bless 'em, they have a very high per capita rate of universities, the highest per capita rate of personal computers in their homes than any nation on the planet, and the fourth largest air force in the world.
Did I mention they have a higher standard of living than any nation in the entire Middle East? That's kind of a given. They live in a hotbed of terror and violence, but they go on with their lives, enjoying it as much as possible. Many new cell phone and CPU technologies have been developed in Israel. Some brilliant science papers have been written out of Israel.
Oh, and what have the Arabs given us? 9/11, the bombing in Beirut, the attack on the USS Cole, genocide in Darfur, and the oppression of all the women who live under their regime. The president of Iran has repeatedly denied that the Holocaust in Nazi Germany even happened. As a people, the Muslim Arabs have done nothing for the world.
Kill them all. Total genocide is the only answer. No mercy, no remorse.

Are you either Palestinian or Israeli? If not, it's really not your business to have such a strong opinion. Frankly, it's eveyone sticking their nose in the business of only a few million people who are protacting this conflict.
