My boyfriend and I have been dating for 7 months and we went to his mom's place for christmas dinner. She got me sterling silver earrings and a necklace with heart designs in them-very pretty! What should I write in a thankyou note to her, without sounding cheesy? I am also planning to put a picture of my boyfriend and I from Christmas in the card when I send it. Also, how do I end the note? Sincerly, Love,From, Best Regards??

Thats nice of you to write her a thank you card, it will show respect from you. Just write to her thanking her for the generous gift and that you will be wearing them for say New Years Eve, or something like that. Short and sweet, end it with Sincerely and she will be happy with that! Good luck

Dear Mrs. Jones,

I just wanted to send you a brief note to say Thank You so much for the earings and necklace. It was perfect and will go great with my navy blue blouse and pants. Also, I must tell you that I had a wonderful time at your home with all of your family. I'm sending along a picture of me and John when we were at ____________ during the holidays. We had a great time there too.

Thank you again and Happy New Year!

Suzy

Thank you for the beautiful gift. And you can say Love. It's not that serious. She will appreciate the note within itself. Most people would just say thank you when they receive it.

Thank her for the delicious Christmas dinner and tell her how much you love the earrings & necklace that she gave you. Tell her that you've already been getting compliments on the jewelry and how nice it looks with your favorite sweater, shirt, whatever. Make the note short & sweet, because if it rambles on and on, it will seem less sincere. End the note by saying you had a great time at Christmas dinner and that you look forward to seeing her soon. And the idea of putting a picture of you & your boyfriend in the card is a very cute idea!
