we currently have a vacation to turkey and greece booked for april, just wondering what you guys think of the weather over there in april. well be in athens and about 6 differnt greek islands and kusadasi turkey. is it warm enough in mid april to hit the beaches....and do you think it is safe in those places? thanks. ciao.

It is not so warm in April for swimming but it is nice visiting Greece.It is spring and everything is green and it is very pleasant for walking by the beach.It is also pleasant visiting all the sightseeings because the weather is nice but I don't think that it is good for swimming.

ooo... greece n turkey. well, i'm 1/2 greek & proud of it:) athens is pretty safe - the weather there in april is great - ur gunna fall in <3 w. the islands. I havn't heard much about kusadasi, but i do know Istanbul is gorgeous. either way, i'm sure u'll enjoy both visitis.

april will be empty in turkey.. coz i was their 2 years ago and the weather is a bit nippy... The best time to go turkey is in Mid June.. coz thats when the weather heats up
Kusadasi is nice, id defintely recommed Bodrum aswell.. Lots of stuff to do for all ages.. Go to Barlar Sokak (Bar Street), Swim at Gumbet, watersports at Gumbet and defintely do a tekne tur (Boat tour) The water is amazingly crystal clear!! Its heaven...
About safety, regardless of where you are... be alert! keep your bag by your side at all times and if possible dont carry to much valuables on you..
Backpacks are easy to get into by bag snatches ( you'd be amazed how many people have had their stuff stolen from their backpacks)
I had a side bag with a full zipper on it and it never left my sight...
Dont go for bags with many zippers.

I think KuÅadası in Turkey would be warm enough. But late in April would be safer ,because i know a lot of cold March days.

You will be little more relaxed in Greece. But in Turkey you are forewarned to behave yourself at all times.

i am from greece and i think that greece is more beutifull but in turkery you need less money than here.
