Interesting to see the variety of answers about our next president. No matter who gets elected in 2008 it will be a new day and all should support the will of the people regardless.
I am not in favor of Hillary becoming president but if elected she will become the leader of the United States and that will make her my president. Some say that would be the leader of the free world but, I only hear Americans using that term though.
My personal thoughts are clear on the subject, I refuse to lash out and be a sore loser if the person I want for president doesn't win, I'll wait until the next election but, in the mean time I will support the elected candidate. Do I sound like a follower? Somewhat! Am I an American that believes in the American way of life because none are better? Yes!
If we stick together as one, no one country can be stronger. It's only when others see discontent in our citizens that they speak out, when they do, it appears they have the support of the U.S. It wouldn't surprise me if, fanatics from other countries were the trigger for those that believe in conspiracies and the multiple shooters in the JFK assassination. All they have to do is say something that can't be explained exactly was caused by the Bush family or the government.
I say never let the individual politician get away with anything less than almost perfect. They should be held to a very high standard but, as in the case of President Bush, none of his directives about the war or economy have been based on his sole thought! He has a cabinet, congress and the senate to answer to. They represent us, not the current candidates.

It is the secret plan of our government that we vote, they do what they want, whoever has a majority control doesn't matter, they get to make the cracklins so to speak since they control the pork, that's what matters.
You guys worry about another Clinton the rest worry about another Bush and both and neither are trusted by the other party.
Is it really any wonder our government is in the sorry shape it's in, we can't agree on most things on here.

Under Bush, unemployment is at an all time low and the stock market is at an all time high. Bush recovered from the recession he inherited from Clinton. Hillary has been involved in several scandals and is probably much more unscrupulous and dishonest than Bill. Bill was just a playboy. Hillary could really damage the country with her liberal ideas, especially regarding health care and raising taxes. Hillary would not stand up to the terrorists: rather she would appease them ala Chamberlain.
The American public is too smart to elect someone as dangerous as Hillary. God help our country if they should.

Yeah, we'll have another Clinton as president who will ignore terrorism like her lying two-timing womanizing hubby. Can't you just hear the high pitched whining and accusations of a "vast right wing conspiracy" when the savage terrorists hit us again because of her incompetence?
I just love the answer about a balanced budget. Oh yes, a balanced budget is far more important than 3000 murdered Americans.

Yeah, the first Clinton balanced the budget, putting it in the black for the first time in decades. Unemployment was at an all time low. Maybe you would like another Bush?

I think you should be happy about it, in the first Clinton-era, US was economically at its peak. I dont think any damage was given by him if you think about the current situation.

Well, maybe we would not have our young men, and women,
over in Iraq, if this happened.
They have to step up to the plate, and take care of their own county.
