Almost any oil will run in a Diesel. Many say to use a Double Filter on the car when burning used oil such as Cooking Oils used in frying. If, I used oil from a fast food, I would pick and allow to settle and siphon off through a Strainer. Most of the stuff should settle to the bottom. Maybe after straining then siphon/strain through some type of filter and then it be ready for the Car.
Some people feel it is better to do a Oil/Diesel mix for better Starting and Performance. If, I did a mix, I would go for more used oil to Diesel Ratio. Try to cut costs as much as possible. You could experiment. After 3-4 tanks you may know a good mix. 80/20; 70/30; 60/40; 50/50. If at first the 80/20 is a crap mix you can add more Diesel to correct. In experimenting I would only fill 1/2 to 3/4 Tank so there room to work adding Diesel if you need.
The last Concept is to use Straight Diesel to Start the engine and then Switch to Straight Oil once running. This would require a small starting tank with extra pump setup like the regular fuel tank.
Filters may be an important part as clogged injectors will offset any savings you would have seen.

i saw it done on Mythbusters but they put filterd cooking oil in a small tank under the hood ,,If you dilute it enough to make it past the filters i guess it would work.. Ive heard the truck drivers in Mexico put anything in their tanks that they can find...lol
