My best friend is a guy, and we have been friends since we were 11 (now 25). Anyway we lost contact for a while and then we met up again. Now when we see eachother he tells me that he loves me and he is in love with me. I am in a relationship but we had sex a couple of times. Whenever we have sex, he doesn't call for like a week and when he does call, its like 2 AM.
Am I trying to convince myself that he really loves me? But why would he lie and tell me those things? Anyway, I bought him something really nice for Christmas, but I gave it to him maybe two weeks early. Yesterday was Christmas, and he didn't even call to wish me a Merry Christmas. I feel really hurt, and I think that I am playing myself. I want to confront him and then never speak to him again, but I don't want to sound like some Psycho chick. But I am really hurt, and I feel that he needs to know that.

I REALLY appreciate your comments. It hurts but its the truth. There are some assholes on here telling me im pathetic because im in a relationship. but you dont know the facts. you dont know what im going through in my relationship. so dont judge me because i cheated with someone that i am in love with.

To tell the truth, it hard to tell. It may be that he is only after a "booty call", but it could also be that he's in a lot of emotional pain that you are with someone else. I guess the best thing to do is ask him.
But, here's my question, if he really is in love with you, will you leave your current boyfriend? There's no reason to know if he loves you if you don't plan on doing something about it. Dragging both guys along is not helping any of you.

Well its to late to tell you to never sleep with your friends unless it is made very clear what you all want. Are you gonna be friends with benefits are you gonna try to have a relationship and if it doesn't work out what will happen after. How ever your so called friend doesn't seem to be that good of one because if you are long time friends even with or without the benefits he should have dropped you A line and said thank you for the gift personally i would have expected to get one in return but that's just me... you really do need to find out what is up ask does he want this to be just a booty call thing, friend s with benefit thing or does he want more either way you have a boyfriend and you need to be honest with yourself about who you really want because what you are doing isn't really worth it because he doesn't seem worthy.

Hey there, i totally agree with you. that isn't right...if he was so in love with you he could at least pick up the phone and call you. not to sound too rash but he probably just wants "booty"... And if you were in a relationship already he should have respected that and acted in a totally different fashion. I'd confront him about it and let him know how you feel because holding it in will probably only drive you nuts... and dont call him anymore- leave it up to him if he wants to pick up the phone or not. good luck!

it looks like he's not a very nice guy. Maybe you should confront him and ask him the questions that are playing in your mind. If you feel like he's not the guy that'll be there for you when everyone leaves, then he's not worth the thinking. Find someone better, someone who'll say that he loves you and really mean it.

First of all YOUR IN A RELATIONSHIP why are you having sex with another person. Does your "Other" know that you are cheating on him?
Perhaps you should fix that problem and then work on the one with your "Best friend"
P.S. He is NOT your best friend if he is causing you to cheat!

sorry chick, your a booty call. confront this guy and leave it at that, when he calls don't talk to him... ignore him. he is just using you. it hurts, but you will feel a lot better once you confront him and tell him how much he hurt you.
