it won't play. I have called dell but they were not much help. Does anyone have any advise or what I might have done wrong? I have changed the types of cd's and I have been able to burn them before but like I said now it doesn't work.

There are several reasons why a CD you created won't work in different CD players. It could be anything from an encrypted copywrite protection to the type of CD you used. I think this site will give you some good info to help narrow down the cause:

You probably have to change the settings on your software that burns the cd's. It will usually have where you can burn it to play on cd players. I have done that. It is not really the cd, but rather the configurations on your software that you use to burn cd's.

i don't know much about comps either, but i know i can play all of the burnt ones in my car player, but not the one in the house. maybe it depends on the cd player.
