Is it better for the environment to flush the toilet paper, or put it in the trash? (I was going to flush anyways.)

Don't just state your opinion, please - I need details about which one is truly better for the environment. Where does the paper go? Does it get broken down? Which one is faster? Stuff like that.....

as long because it hasn't been used for the rest i do no longer see a difficulty. i've got considered human beings blow their noses "facial tissue" yet refuse to apply "rest room tissue." the rest room tissue is folded in yet in any different case yet softer and greater absorbent. recover from it human beings.
