The ban was put in 2 years ago. It will be bad PR for any politican to lift the ban and the country has more pressing needs then wanting to see the return of chasing a poor creature with a pack of dogs just for fun.
I live in the countryside and most of it is only out of town surburbia for the middle and upper class.

Most people have nothing to do with the land management and farming they work in towns and cities, the old country life is dead.

I believe that it is still being discussed because (no offense to anybody) these people have nothing better to do. They should just try to up their economy instead of talking about foxes.
