what do you think is the cause of it?, how are people born with it?, I wish there was a cure for it already, I'm 18, gonna be 19 in two weeks, I have this disorder, I hate it with such a passion, it's most likely the reason why I haven't partied yet, had a girlfriend yet, still a virgin, all I've done is kiss, people never call me on my cell phone except for people who are kinda like me, i'm not sure if they have the disability, but they are like me because they are not outgoing just like I am, when I go out with them, we just go to easy places like the movies, amusement parks, etc., no parties cause we don't get invited. The people I said that call me are only a few people, most of the time just one person everyday, I get bored & frustrated, because everytime my cell phone rings, it's always the same person, I even have a hard time with job interviews, well I haven't had a job yet so I'm not that experienced, I got rejected from Knotts & Disneyland, should I apply somewhere else easy?

it's genetic. You get it from your parents. Unfortunatly, there's no cure, but you can take medication to be able to deal with everyday problems. I too have asperger's syndrome and so does my father. Don't blame your disability on certain things that normal people do such as dating, phone calls, having sex, and not being as outgoing as normal people are. I'm ten times not as outgoing, and I want to be a future animal photographer when I go to college. Jobs aren't easy to get for people like us. Trust me, I've done job applications after job applications, and I 99.9% get rejected. If I were you, I'd get in contact with OVR. Maybe they might help you get a job. just click on the website down below.

I have high-functioning autism, which is similar asperger syndrome but with significant language delays and more severe social impairment. I have this one friend who has asperger syndrome and he has a lot of friends and he acts like a neurotypical. I don't know how he does it. What I find helps in social interaction is learning how conversations are constructed and how to start one. I have my own conversation book and this is what allows me to survive in the world. Without it, I would never know how to greet anyone. There is not a cure for autism/asperger syndrome. What I find to be a help with joining a club or perhaps getting a job is to speak with strong adjectives and good sentence structure because I am emotionless and I speak in a monotone and this is what helps me to let people know how I feel and how serious I am about doing something. I don't know what to say about eye-contact but if you look at the person to whom you are speaking back and forth all the time but quickly, you will feel less overwhelmed and they will not think of you as rude. The method as mentioned above are some of my survival skills as an autist. Good luck!

Sorry, they don't know the cause. Are you enjoying your pity party? My son is so autistic he still doesn't use the toilet even at 22 years old. He can't even talk, yet he figured out how to communicate by typing. He works full time in a sheltered workshop, building things and he earns a paycheck. You can waste your life dwelling on what you don't have, or you can make the best of what you do. It's up to you darlin. Nobody is going to hand it to you.
