I have several garments that require the use of a "cold iron". Needless to say, I'm lost. If my iron doesn't have a "cold iron" setting, how do I know where to set the control? Thanks for your help.

cold means no heat, just use the iron to press out the wrinkles.

I'm sorry, I've never heard of the phrase "cold Iron" before! Perhaps you could check on the garment label as to the type of material it's made from and use that setting on your iron? The lowest setting-- Rayon I believe?- is quite cool. There are lots of times I just put my wrinkled clothing in the dryer on an air fluff setting or on a low setting with a damp towel and I don't need to iron! Maybe that would work for you?

I've never seen "cold iron" on a garment label. I would assume the fabric is very delicate and thin and may be harmed by heat. Some fabrics may even "melt" when touched with too hot an iron.

I would use a low setting, AND, to be on the safe side, I'd use a pressing cloth on top of the fabric. A pillow case should work just fine to protect the fabric, since the iron will not come into direct contact with the fabric.

Yep. Definitely a new phrase for me. Cold Iron? You can pretty much look at a piece of garment and tell which setting to use on the iron though. I'd use the lowest setting and do a test run. YW by the way.

Try just what it says, use your iron while off and cold. And if it don't work use the lowest setting on your iron. Good LUck!

I've heard of cool iron before. So that would mean not much higher than just plain on.
