CD-R skill CD writable. you could burn something as quickly as after which you're completed. no longer the rest may be written to or faraway from that CD. that's good for information you do no longer choose for to lose like photos or music information. CD-RW is CD re-writable. you could write, erase, and write lower back from the CD in basic terms such as you computing device hard disk drive or a floppy force. The disk is re-usable. There are some precautions of utilizing a RW disk as some CD drives won't have the skill to study the RW format your force makes use of. those disks are good for information you go with for to shop for a quick quantity of time and while that factor is up you do no longer choose for that information anymore.

A CD-rw disc is re-writable. you can re-write on it at least 1000 times. A CD-r is just a one time recoding. As far as a CD-r music CD goes is is specifically designed for music format whether it's a aac, wav or mp3 format where a regular CD-r is designed for everything but gives a less quality recording when it comes to music.

CD-Rs stands for Compact Disc-Recordables.

CD-RWs stands for Compact Disc-ReWritables.

The major difference is that CD-Rs can only write to the disc on time, making that disc content permanent; the can also read CD ROM content. On the other hand, CD-RWs can read CD ROM content, write content, and rewrite content. This format essentially allows for the disc content to be erased and recorded again - over and over again.

Some more Info:

CD-Rom - Reads only CD's. Can not write to them
CD-R - Is a CD that can be written too Once.
CD-RW - Is a CD that can be written too and erased. Like a Floppy Disk.

Keep in mind, there are DVD Burners which can read and write not only DVD's but CD's as well. Here's the one I bought for my kids. It works great!
