I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 318. The check engine light came on, and it started running like crap. A week later it doesn't run barely at all. Kind of sounds like it may be skipping, but when you hit the throttle it bogs down. Doesn't stall though. I replace the plugs/wires/cap/rotor, and this didn't help. Any thoughts?

with the aid of fact that is not any longer moving in any respect, i could wager that it quite is an enter or output sensor on the transmission, in spite of the indisputable fact that it might desire to be any form of different issues. additionally, if the fluid has been replaced recently, then the placement that replaced it might have used Dexron extremely of ATF+4 and this would reason issues in a Chrysler transmission. maximum suitable element to do is take it to the community stay sparkling of broker and characteristic them seem at it. they're going to have the understand-how and experience engaged on them to appreciate no remember if it quite is a sensor, administration module, or some thing inner contained in the trans inflicting your situation. Many trans shops attempt to sell a reman unit extremely of solving the present transmission, so i could have the broker diagnose it. If the broker tells yuo it desires a transmission, then you could call around for value expenditures on changing the trans to the trans shops and different community mechanics. in the event that they're lots greater affordable than the broker, tell the broker and ask in the event that they'd tournament the fee or a minimal of get on the factor of it. in case you have it clinically determined yet no longer repaired, they're going to regularly fee a diagnostic value around $seventy 5 or so.
