to the war in Iraq. So many people want to point the finger and place the blame, but they have no solutions themselves. Our leader analyzed the info he had, much of which the public was not aware of, and made the decision to act. He was decisive and took action. The democrats have since pointed their fingers but have never come up with a plan. They have no solutions just as so many Americans do not have a solution, but like to place blame.

There is no way to pull out, but the next best thing would be to setup a perimeter with base camps to up-train the Iraqi's.....this would also let them control the inner workings of their own cities, and let them figure out that the game is up, and get their folks trained instead of sucking our tax dollars dry. When I speak of a perimeter, I am talking about 50-100 clicks away from their towns....plus we could get a better view of who is supplying arms.......Face it look at how long we was in Germany after WWII....we will prob be in Iraq no less than 60 yrs

The Democrats were not responsible for creating a war time plan for the president. I'm assuming like most Americans they thought the president would handle this war efficiently. Unfortunately, he has not. He listened to the wrong advice and now we have this continuing problem in Iraq. As for the Democrats, they do have a plan. Their plan is to emphasize training of Iraqi forces (with a list of benchmarks they have to achieve) and once those forces are trained the Democrats are calling for a strategic redeployment of troops. They will gradually withdraw some troops, while redeploying the rest of the troops to the countries of our allies in the region. That way, if need be, we can get American forces back into Iraq quickly. But, we are to provide support for the Iraqis and they will have to take the lead.

They created this plan based on testimony of Generals that the continued U.S. forces in Iraq are actually contributing to the hostility because we can be seen as "occupiers." I've read recently that more Generals are seeing the idea of adding more troops as a viable option, so that means the Democrats plan might have to change. If the Generals say it's hurting our cause by having so many troops in the country, they will try to redeploy troops. Now that some Generals are saying we might want to try the surge option, the Democrats might have to reevaluate their current proposal.

Your right somewhat! They are pointingf fingers at Bush for getting us into a war over oil with a people that had done nothing to America, and "yes" Bush should have gotten his facts straight, and came up with a provable reason to go to war with Saddam so that he could legally kill the enemy of his Daddy, but as usual he blundered his way to war! Then to make matter's worse, Bush didn't forsee the enormous cost of sending us to war, nor did he seem to really care, nor did he understand the amount of innocent lives that would be taken as a result. Is it his fault? "YES" it is! Bush should have come up with a plan for the gradual withdrawal of our troops once Saddam was captured, but "no" he now wants complete control of Iraq as a way of taunting his enemy. We have no business there, and we should let those people settle thier own affairs! We had a Civil War in this Country to settle our affairs, and now we have a better Government as a result, and a consistent way of life, that recognizes the diversity of the multi-racial/ multi-cultural people of this Country. We still have a few problems that we need to workout such as: Erradicating racism completly or legally, Gun control, Court reform, automatic/ systematic Minimum Wage raises, and enacting Police anti-brutality laws.

It seems apparent that we need a new Leader, as Bush has failed us as he seemingly has had "No Plan" that has been productive, practical, and prosperous for the Middle and Lower Classes of people in this Country. His policies have ultimately been very divisive and destructive to the welfare of the masses, without posing any suitable alternatives to our current or previous situations. Under the Bush administration, crime is rampant, the economy is faltering, and our response to our own people in crises( Katrina and Rita) is atrocious, and was thought to be blamed on racism/ republicanism/ compassionate conservatism! We can't truly blame anything on the Democrat's cause the Bush Admintsration has largely undone most of the Clinton Adminstration's efforts and replaced them with their own. Wake up AMERICA! It's time for change once again!!!

There is no solution to the mess we have in Iraq. However, if it was up to me I would put Saddam back in charge. One of the reasons Bush Sr. never took him out back in Desert Storm was because he knew we would have the mess we have now. He was a nessary evil. If the people wanted him gone then the people of Iraq should have overthrown him not us.

I think they should form 3 police security groups in Iraq (Shia, Sunni and Kurd). Train them separately and then post them to areas of an opposing sect (shia to kurd / sunni to shia / kurd to shia .. etc). Let it be clear to these heavily armed police units that damage occurring to their home area can easily find retribution because of the cross-posting of troops. Either they will explode the nation with massive killing or they will begin to find ways to make it work in order to have a safe environment for all. All three police factions would be trained to aggressively search and destroy outside agitators. Well, that is one idea. It has a lot of holes in it though.

The solution doesn't lie with the US.
The only solution is for the men of Iraq to stand up and fight and be willing to die for their freedom. They have to want to end tyranny and stop the insurgents for the good of their country.

secretly bomb Iran and deny anyone accussing us. If it persists, bomb Syria the same way. Iran wants that region's oil supply because they have given most of their's to France and Russia for protection and no money.

You will never get a solution out of the complainers. It's not part of their make up. These are the same democrats who voted for the war twice. They would have backed it if it was clinton doing it. Clinton was too tainted to get any other backing though, and polls directed all of clintons actions.
