If you were standing in a Grocery store line, and the person in front of you were a dollar short. Would you give them a dollar, just so you could get out of there faster?

one time i paid for a ladys grocerys
cause she looked like she was really down on her luck
she had five little ones hanging on her
and she was counting change to pay for her things

Done it a bunch of times, and not just at the grocery. Last month at the Subway (sandwich store) at one of the bases at the Baghdad Int'l Airport the soldier in front of me had no cash (she was going to charge it, but that Subway only takes cash) so I paid for her sub meal. It was only 5 or 6 dollars, so it was no big deal to me, but she was happy and I got to support (one of) the troops over here. I didn't do it to get out of there faster, but because she needed help. And yes, I would've done it if it had been a male soldier, too.

I would give them a dollar but not to get out of there faster just because they needed it and I have it

Actually, I would, but it wouldn't be because I wanted to get out faster or anything. If he/she was a dollar short, why not help?It's only a dollar..

I would give them a dollar no to get through fast but to help someone in need. I would want someone to do the same for me in a bind!

I've done it a few times, but not just to get them out of my way. We all need to be kind to one another. Someday, I may need a dollar, I would hope that someone would help me.

If the person were a child, most definately. Otherwise probably not.
When getting groceries, I'm usually not rushed
