God created the chicken first

In order to answer this question EXACTLY as asked, we must first come to terms with the fact that neither the egg nor the chicken can come first, or last, or at all. To be precise, it is the rooster who must do the coming in this situation. Yet, because the rooster must, eventually impregnate the chicken, which, as every person past the third grade knows, will produce an egg. Said egg will produce either a rooster or a chicken, thus preparing future generations of humans to ponder the same question. So, chicken needs rooster to make egg.

I remember answering this last night.

Biblically speaking, the chicken was first.

I saw a cartoon, however, with an egg and chicken in bed together, and the egg was smoking a cigarette.

The best answer to the question was neither. First was toast, then OJ, then bacon, and egg. The chicken was for lunch.

Assuming you believe in evolution, the egg come first, as long as it doesn't have to be a chicken egg. It could be an egg of a reptile, which came evolutionarily speaking before chickens. Now, if you believe in the Bible, the chicken came first as God created it.

According to Aristotle, actuality takes precedence over (comes first before) potentiality. Eggs become chickens, chickens do not become eggs (they lay eggs, they don’t become eggs). Therefore an egg is a chicken in potentiality, but a chicken is a chicken in actuality. Therefore the chicken came first.

Actually, this is one of the simpliest questions ever asked:

The parent came before the child.
The diamond came before the diamond necklase.

Therefore: The chicken came before the egg.
