1917 to 1920: Britain put Palestine under Military rule
1920 to 1948: Britain ruled Palestine under the mandate awarded to them at the end of World War I. The government was called "government of Palestine." The mandate government was under the British crown. On November 2, 1917, the British foreign minister Arthur Belfour with the consent of the British crown promised the Jews to give them the land of the Palestinians as a Jewish national homeland. This promise became known as the "Belfour declaration." France & Italy accepted the declaration in 1918, America in 1919, Japan in 1920. The Belfour declaration was a clear violation of the Palestinian people's right to their land and government.
Why aren't Americans called terrorist for fighting the English before independence? Palestinians are fighting for their land, their right. Why is the world silent? Why are they ignoring the historical truths? Is the west so brainwashed by their biased media to point of stupidity and ignorance?

While Israel's crimes are called "self defense",the Palestinians fighting for liberty will be called "terrorists"...because they don't have the full support of the most powerful country in the world:USA...So Israel can do whatever it wants and they know US is going to save them somehow...

And also the media is doing a really good job in presenting the Israelis as the "poor victims" and Palestinians as the "terrorists"...Every time an Israeli dies they have to transform it into an international tragedy, talk for days about the "tragedy" that occurred...19 Palestinians die a few lines are written in newspaper, they talk a little and that's it... It seems that a Palestinians life it's not as valuable as the one of an Israeli...
And unfortunately after 9/11 everyone connects Muslim to the term "terrorists".So as Palestinians are mostly Muslims they all have to be bad...And again,US attacking 2 Muslim countries(it chosed to attack Iraq who was no danger, instead of attacking North Korea who had nuclear weapons) and the way the media presents the facts in the Middle East doesn't help at all...

It is their methods...bombing women and children, suicide bombers, etc. Even when Israel withdrew, the suicide bombings continued. Israel is under attack from the entire region because they are Jews. This is wrong. The Palestinian people should have fought against this Belfour declaration at the time. I admit, I'm not educated on Palestinian history but killing women and children 86 years later is wrong. What is this accomplishing? All it does is anger the much stronger Israeli government and get more Palestinians killed. If they want to be recognized as a country start acting like a country rather than a bunch lawless terrorists.

The Palestinians are seen by the USA as terrorists because in the eyes of successive US governments Israel can do no wrong. This is clear by the number of times the US has blocked the UN from blocking even mild rebukes from moderate Arab states. In the interests of Middle East and world peace, the US needs to rethink its strategy as the British goverment realised when dealing with the IRA. Sadly, I hold out little hope.

Assassinations, kidnapings and terrorist attacks on pizzerias and school buses are quintessential terrorist operations. Those who do these things are terrorists, however much they may resent the characterization.

If Palestinians don't like being grouped in this number, I would offer an easy solution: don't do them! Stop those in your number who do do them!

Would you like a parallel with American history? Our War of Independence ended with Yorktown and the Peace of Paris. Both sides agreed to have peace. Today, our two countries are strong allies.

What of the Palestinians? When Prime Minister Barak offered them everything they had asked for, including the return of East Jerusalem, what did they do? Make peace? No, they came up with still more demands, which they knew the Israelis could never accept. When the Israelis said no, they figured they would just force Israel to accept by still more terrorism.

Why do Palestinians follow, seemingly blindly, the siren song of terrorism?

Israel is protecting itself. The state of Israel replaced into legally created out of the dismemberment of the Ottoman Empire on the top of international conflict I. the section replaced into desolate, desolate tract and swamp, with some small cities and a few inhabitants, lots of them nomads. The inhabitants seen themselves frequently Syrian. The Balfour announcement issued via the British, who have been given the mandate over the section via the League of international locations. Jews have lived interior the country considering Biblical circumstances. The Arabs from the encompassing areas have been lured to "Palestine" via the marketplace and prosperity that the Jews extra to the area. Envy, hatred and non secular fanaticism grew to become the Arabs against the Jews. In 1947, under pressure, the British resigned their mandate. the comparable 12 months, the United international locations mandated partioning of the territory. The Jews, although dissatisfied, ordinary the partition. The Arabs rejected it and released conflict against Israel. The armies of 5 Arab international places invaded. Following the exhortations of the invaders, the Arab citizens have been given out of how hoping to return after victory replaced into attained. they'd then reclaim their sources and that of the Jews, all of whom could have been killed or could have fled. Israel gained. That and that on my own is the source of the Palastinian "refugees". Had the Arabs ordinary the UN partition plan, there could now have been a state of "Palestine" for the final fifty 8 years. The could have attained an identical point of prosperity, progression and progression as Israel. 50% of Israel's inhabitants now incorporates refugees from Morocco, Algeria, Iraq and Yemen. All have been ordinary via Israel with open palms and have become effective contributors of their society. The Palestinians refused to combine those refugees into their inhabitants and instead limited them to "refugee camps". those there at the instant are fourth technology and by way of no fault of Israel. hi, here is an concept, why do no longer the Arabs get those 4th technology refugees and comprise them into their society? 4th technology?!? that would in no way happen in a stepped forward united states of america, alongside with Israel. It shows how incompetant the Palestinians are.

I think the atrocities of WWII and the ensuing guilt helped found Israel for the Jews. Palestians have few friends, even amongst the Arab nations. America has a HUGE Jewish population, many in positions of power who ensure their 'rights' remain paramount regardless of blood shed or fairness - this is where your comment 'brainwashed by biased media...' comes in. The Holocaust affected a generation of Jews, later generations continue to use it as an excuse/reason for doing ... whatever they want, (look at Lebanon).

You don't resist occupation by blowing up a bus with women and children on board. And Frankly, that was the home of the jews as far back as history remembers. Long before Palestinian people got there. They can live in peace with their neighbors or they can war with them, the choice is theirs, But the jews are not leaving. Shalom.

I may be remembering it wrong, it was a long time ago, but in religious studies at school I am fairly sure that there was a bit in the bible about God giving the land of Israel to the Jews, and lets face it the world loathes terrorists and palestinian ones that hide behind women and children are absolutely the lowest of the low.

I agree with you - they are doing what Nelson Mandela, Ghandi and Martin Luther King all did - fight injustice, fighting for self-preseveration. Their methods may not be palatable (remeber people called Nelson Mandela a terrorist) but they have RIGHT on their side.
The Isreali treatement of the Palastinians is despicable - especially considering the treatment of jewish people under Hitler and throughout history.
It is probably the (idiotic) Christian Right in the US as well as the strong Jewish lobby that means that the US foreign policy is somewhat bias.
However, many people I talk to in the UK are well aware of the heavy handness of the Isrealis. But since 9/11 anything Muslim has a bad press, and the Palastinians have increasingly received a bad press.

If they only attacked soldiers, formed some type of proper military style resistance, I would agree. But the fact is they launch motar rounds and rockets into towns and villages without a care as to who they kill. They strap bombs to themselves and get on buses full of women and children, they plant road side bombs to blow up school buses. British colonists formed an organized militia and attacked British troops, and British ships, they declared war against the British crown.
