with what I've seen/heard over the last two centuries, I'd have to say true.

well, False

1. Islam is just an Arabic phrase meaning "submission to G-d".
2. G-d cannot be the enemy of the world; though G-d answers to as many names as there are languages and dialects, there is only one, worshiped in different ways
3. If there is only one G-d, G-d therefore can't be an enemy of G-d's Self
4. Therefore, if you follow this sketchy logic, Islam can't be the enemy of the world as it is simply a means to submit to the will of the one G-d, who rules not just over those who practice Islam, but the entire world.

If you're asking if a few people who claim to be Muslim for their own ends so they can rally people together in their evil cause are enemies of the world- still false. these fundamentalist jerks have a clear agenda in mind, and aren't really worried about most of the tribal people around the world, or people who live in small countries, etc. they are after a select few, not the entire world.

Radical Islamic Jihadists are indeed. It is not uncommon for radical elements of any religion to hijack a following in a move for power and influence. Moderate Muslims are in such fear of the empowered jihadists that they will not confront them in alliance with the "west". The cycle becomes more intense as a result. Such power happened under the Christians in the age of inquisition. It took hundreds of years to undo the damage and maybe it is not undone yet. Until oil is not important in the world - the financial support for the Islamic radicals will rain havoc on the world. That will be for a very long time.

True and False. first of all, its mainly the extremists who are wagging the war on America. I also fault the mainstream Muslims for not standing up against these people. by keeping your mouths shut, you are silently approving of their actions.

If it is wrong, then say its wrong. So, I do fault the religion because they wont or don't take a stand against the violence. If you will notice, the majority of people killed are their own people, male, female, adults and kids. So, a truly Loving Religion don't you think? NOT

Speak up Muslims if you don't agree with the violence, otherwise, sit back and take the condemnations like a man.

False; Islam is a peaceful religon.

Did you actually ever study the Quaran yourself? The actuall Quaran, not verses people post on websites.

Or do you actually know how a Muslim woman feels about wearing a Hijab or Mandeel by asking her yourself?

It bothers me how ignorant people are just to believe the first thing they read on blogs, YouTube, MySpace, Ect. and go on believing it until someone actually proves them wrong.

For example, The Verse Of The Sword ; Has anyone actually seen that Verse in the Quaran itself? Not google, or a website about the Quaran, or Yahoo Answers.

I've seen countless of false facts all over Yahoo Answers, take this for instance; Someone answered one of my previous questions saying "Muslims are gross because Men are promised 72 virgins in Heaven".

False - In Heaven Men (And woman alike) can have whatever they want, which now-a-days people have more sexest thoughts and rephrase the fact to "MEN CAN HAVE AS MUCH SEX AS THEY WANT IN HEAVEN"....

The Quaran does not state that Men will have 72 virgins in heaven.

As a Muslim it pains me to see people saying that most or (all) Muslim women have no rights (See my other question for more information http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... )

But what disgusts me most of all is that when ever someone brings up this topic they mention that women are forced to wear they're burka (Mandeel, Hijab, ect.).

Is it not true, that the Quaran states that a Mandeel (ect.) is to be worn so the man will not fall for the woman's body, hair, beauty, but the woman herself.

Saudia Rabia is a Holy place for Muslims, which is why the laws seem unfair and unjust to most and reasonable to others.

But in many other places woman have a choice whether they want to wear they're Burka (Mandeel, hijab, ect.) or not.

For example, I live in Kuwait. I have seen many woman walking on the side walks, or shopping -so on so forth- without wearing a Hijab (Ect.).

And where do you get these theories from? Television, websites, Yahoo Answers itself?

Im a Muslim woman and in all my years I have never seen a man strike his wife abusivly before.

Yes I understand that the Middle East is based in less modern times in parts and in most parts women don't have the right to vote -- But people take it for granted just because they see a man strike a woman it means all Muslim Men do it (or most).

Places in the Middle East may have laws or people that may be unfair and cruel in an American's standards -- But look at it from a Muslim's view, more then one.

Note; I'm not talking about terrorists.

Islam is the religion. It can't be your enemy.

Muslims are the people. And there are too many peaceful muslims to call them the enemy.

False. We (the western world, predominantly Christian) see them as the "enemy" because some of them are adamant about throwing the "immigrants" out of the land they took and named "Israel."

The "takeover," or "seize" of Jerusalem and the land of Israel happened about 59 years ago. It could easily be understood to be prophetic; simply read chapters 7,8,9,10, and 11 of Isaiah. Those chapters discuss a war that ends all wars and starts as a result of two powers invading and seizing "Jerusalam."

You might not like the way that prophecy turns out though, since the countries that do the taking over don't get to keep Jerusalem. In fact, one of the countries gets to no longer be a nation when it's over. According to the prophecy, it gets over 65 years after it starts.

That would be the end of 2011, or thereabouts if you count the official formation of of the nation of Israel as the start of the "seize of Jerusalem."

The "king of Assyria" comes to the aid of "Ahab" in this prophecy. Ahab is the king who controls Jerusalem before the seize. That would make him a Muslim, wouldn't it?

Wouldn't that also make the king of Assyria, who is helping him regain control of Jerusalem a Muslim?

Yes, it would.

And the prophecy also states that they are successful in getting the country that is helping the "immigrants" to stop helping them. (That's yet to come, obviously.)

Don't worry, be happy; because when it's over, we won't be fighting over silly things like "who owns God."

Oh yeah, worry, because before it's over, most of the people on this planet will be dead. That probably includes you, and most of everyone else who reads this.

Sincerely,

Chris
(no, not a Muslim, nor a Christian or a Jew; just up on the prophecy.)

True, but only the extremist are the enemy.

2006-12-26 02:12:16 · answer #10 · answered by Anonymous · 0 1

True. When I hear leading clerics of Islam begin condemning the actions of the extremist, then I'll begin to believe that not all Muslims believe in violence. Until then, I have no choice but to think all members of this faith agree with their actions.
