Filing bankruptcy now is much different than it was a couple of years ago and its not fair to your spouse to be to marry beforehand and drag him/her through it with you.

when you get married, you also marry each other's credit. Bad credit will be what is seen though.

Bankruptcy will affect your partner's credit too.
