a extensive % of the time this is a genetic default with the embryo. maximum medical doctors won't speculate on what motives it. definite, the excuses you listed would be a reason, yet quite a few women human beings who do those, do supply delivery to a living toddler-so which you may't say having a single cigarette or having a tumbler of wine will make you miscarry, through fact it won't-purely up your probability by using a fraction. 20% of all pregnancies lead to miscarriage through organic motives-different motives comprise, trauma to the uterus (vehicle twist of destiny, fall, so on.), the order of progression does not happen, such through fact the placenta is incorrect and does not start up working, a subchorianic bleed interior the uterus, ext. Please dont post any answers unless you are sure about it. I was worried getting answers of this type during my first trimester. My doctor told me you can do nothing to prevent a miscarriage. Most time its because of the genetic problems of the fetus. I dont think carrying a water melon would result in a miscarriage. Second time mothers carry their first born during their pregnancy. surely kids are heavier than a melon.
But theres nothing wrong in being cautious .

We already know that miscarriage and stillbirth can be caused by a damaged or weakened placenta - failure of the placenta to function normally can result in an insufficient flow of blood to the baby. It is hoped that our research will enable us to develop a simple test to identify expectant mothers who are most at risk of placental malfunction and help them receive preventative treatment.
We know that premature babies are often prone to infection, which can result in damage to vital organs such as the kidneys and liver.

I agree with preggo.
Rarely are the actions of a healthy mother or indeed her inactions the cause of a miscarriage.
Many things can cause miscarriage.
Some of them include infections. A heavily fibroid uterus and incompetent cervix can also be causes.
