Victoria sounds old-fashioned because of the famous Queen Victoria of England, in the 19th-century. Still, it's a good name, and means "victory." Cool nicknames would include Vic and Tori.

Victoria sounds like it has grace and elegance. It is both old and hip. The nicknames would be Vicky, Tori, Victory. Although if you want some teasing nicknames, one would be icky.

I think a good nickname is Vicky either spelled with a "Y" or "ie", one of my best freidn's name is Victoria, and that's what we call her.
