I have made it to the championship "Super Bowl" game in my fantasy football league. I have some concerns on whom I should start for this week:
My Team:
QB: Marc Bulger (starter!)
RB: LT
RB: Michael Turner
WR: Reggie Wayne
WR: Roy Williams
TE: L.J. Smith
K: Robbie Gould (starter!)
D: San Diego (starter!)
Reserves:
WR: Larry Fitzgerald, Laverneus Coles
RB: Deuce McAllister, Ahman Green, Ron Danye, Willis McGahee
Available:
RB: Addai, Edge, M. Bell, Leon Washington, DeAngelo Williams, Cadillac, & all Bears RB's.
This entire year I have ridden LT all the way, but now is it time to stop? Will they sit him? Should I play both LT and his backup Turner for insurance? Should I start LT and one of my resevre guys?
I have also played a different TE almost every week. I am currently satisfied with LJ Smith, but I can pick up Jason Witten, or Ben Watson if I need to. Whom do I start there?
Also of my guys, who should I start at WR?
Thanks,
Guy

If you didn't make it to your leagues Championship game, please help me win mine! My opponent has ridden Peyton Manning the entire season, so yes this is a showdown of LT vs. Manning. Let's show this league that LT is the true MVP!

your league championship is late, i already won mine. the problem is with San Diego already in the playoffs and securing homefield advantage will they sit LT this week because it means nothing to them, plus they don't want to get him hurt. I like Ron Dayne he is playing for pride next week so he should have a good week plus they are playing the Cleveland Clowns.

First off, I have no clue why any fantasy league would have their championship on the last week of the season. Many teams have clinched playoff berths and are sitting their starters this week. Next year, you need to push it back a week earlier.
Let's see. I guess you have to play LT judging by the fact that the Chargers are going for a 1st round bye and home field advantage, so start LT. I would start McAllister for your other RB. He is a good "flex" option if you will.
For TE, I would go and pick up Witten. LJ is not a reliable option at all.
WR: Reggie Wayne, Fitz, and Roy Williams (but if Coles is healthy and starting, def. go with Coles over Roy Williams)

After reading all of the previous responses, I like what cchiu said. Makes a great deal of sense.
"Ride with who brung ya" (unless you hear that LT might go for just a short bit.....3 Qtrs. of LT is usually better than a game with most of the rest, anyway). I'd do Ron Dayne before Turner. Dayne has been hot lately, and Cleveland is weak....
As far as TE, I had Ben Watson. Great TE (#1 receiver on the Pats)., but I'd be leery of him. Bad knee and out the past several weeks. IF he plays, he could re-injure. I don't htink he'll play all game, though. I'm not impressed with either LJ Smith or Witten. My gut says go with LJ. Garcia does a nice job in that offense. Meanwhile, Witten still only has one TD all year.
I agree that having your championship in Week 17 is goofy. I won our League's last week (nice that the pieces fell together). Good Luck to you!!

How did your opponent ride Peyton Manning? He has been underacheiving most of the year...
On to your team. For LT you will have to wait to see what Schottenheimer is saying, and if he is not going to play Turner is a solid option against a terrible Arizona defense. Your other option is to go with Deuce McAllister. He will always get you at least 60 yards and maybe throw in a TD. He's a safe option.
For WRs use Coles for sure. Fitzgerald and Williams have bad matchups so you can choose between them but I'd go with Williams.
At pick up Witten and use him. He is playing a Detroit defense that can never cover TEs.
Good luck.

Okay, I like your available players. Tomlinson should play for a good amount of the game, but if they go up big, look for Turner to come in. I would say that you should play Tomlinson and Leon Washington. Washington's strong performance against the Dolphins is just a preview of what he will do against the Raiders' horrible run defense. For Wide Receivers, go with Williams and Fitzgerald. Wayne won't play the whole game since the Colts don't need to win. With your TE, I think L.J Smith is your best bet. Good Luck!

GOOD LUCK$$
QB: Marc Bulger
RB: LT - I guess you gotta play him even though he may get some rest. Keep checking his status. My instincts say forget Turner. He is just coming off an injury and has never really proven himself.
RB: Deuce McAllister @ home vs CAR
WR: Reggie Wayne @ home vs SF
WR: Laverneous Coles @ home vs OAK
• Roy Williams is a close third if pts for receptions.
• I love and own Fitzgerald, but playing in SD is tough.
K: Robbie Gould
DEF: San Diego

I have to admit, I'm a huge fan of matchups.
Ilike Bulger's matchup with Minnesota because they have an awful secondary but their rush defese is far and away tops in the league so Bulger will have to throw. You should be solid there.
You have to start LT until futher notice. I would read all the updates to see what they say about starting him or getting Turner more carries but I suspect that they will probably play LT for 3 quarters and then possibly rest him but that's just speculation. I love his matchup with Arizona so you definitely MUST start him.
For your 2nd running back I would start Ron Dayne just based on matchups. He faces an awful Cleveland rusf defense and Dayne has been on fire so yuo have to go with him.
As for WRs', that is a tough call. I think yuo definitely have to go with Wayne because he has been consistent all year and they like to double team Harrison. They face a tough Miami team but Peyton will do what he always does, throw touchdowns.
The 2nd WR I would start would be Roy Williams, the Dallas secondary hasn't looked great all year and Kitna looks to be on track with his 3 TDs' last week.
Larry Fitzgerald would normally be a good pick but he has a tough matchup with a tough San Diego defense that doesn't give many TDs' or yards to WRs' so it's a weak matchup.
As for defense San Diego should be able to put good pressure on Warner and rack up sacks and interceptions.
Another team to consider defense wise would be the New York Jets defense simply because they play Oakland and Oakland is awful. The Jets defense is pretty solid and should be able to force a plethora of turnovers.
Good luck! I won 3 of my 4 leagues last week so hopefully those are good credentials but go with your gut on these picks.

I would continue to ride LT, the Chargers must win or lose home field advantage to the Ravens. I would not start Turner, start Deuce M. LJ Smith should be fine, he did well last night. Continue to start R, Williams and R. Wayne at receiver.

i would start LT and turner. its the best of both worlds. get the td's for LT and the yards for turner. what a combo!! for your wr's i would play wayne and fitz. both great choices for this week. jason witten is an exellent choice to start this week. while t.o. and parcells dont shut up, witten keeps his mouth shut and plays the game of football the way it is supposed to be played. good luck to you.
